Question

"Liverpool, like ancient Athens, certainly has a rich spiritual and intellectual culture, and its inhabitants are known for their love of conversation and debate. But is Liverpool really a philosophical city?"
Clare Carlisle, writer & academic (http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/belief/2010/oct/08/philosophy-city-liverpool-urban-persuit ).
Discuss.

I think if you read this blog and a few others it may be thought of as a Philisophitopical city. There are still thinkers about but unfortunatly we have been tied up in the miasma of stench that has been fed to the public for too long by the local press who made it easy for Warren War Zones and his Spiv-Dems to sell the public what they wanted unchecked. The thinkers who didnt do an Alexi Sayle and piss off have spent their time putting the Spiv-Dems fires out.
